I was going through the notes and bits of paper that had been accumulating on my desk and for some reason I had written this title down. I’ve read several stories by Dahl and I like his style. “Mrs. Bixby and the Colonel’s Coat” is great as is “Parson’s Pleasure.”
Italo Calvino’s collection of short stories, “Numbers in the Dark,” is recommended if you haven’t read it. I picked up a remaindered hardback copy at Half Price Books for a couple of bucks. Well worth it.

I’ve read Dahl’s clever “Tales…”, and have watched the TV adaptations, too. My favourite of his stories is “The Sound Machine”. Enjoy!
